a SPLASH and a SPOTLIGHT!

I must say, I have been thinking about summer a lot lately which is a bit unusual for me because I'm more of a fall season gal but I can blame Laurie from Doodle Pantry for these thoughts because look at these adorable little ants!! This image, Garden Hose Ants, comes colored (along with some super-cute sentiments) and all I had to do was print it and play :)  I added some Glossy Accents and Rain Dots and cut out the image with SB Nestabilities Large Deckled Mega Rectangles.  Then, I created an easel card (a great tutorial for this Charlotte de Zwarts is available at CDAC )   I modified the card by adding a window using Nestabilities Grand Squares.  I like adding the windows when I use printed acetate because I love seeing the light shine through it :)  The popsicle acetate is by Momenta and the delicious bright colored cardstock is DCWV citrus stack :)  Oh, and the gems on the image are MS.

I also have some exciting news...I am honored to say I am this week's Spotlight Member at Crafter's Digital Art Center (*blushing* :) There is a serious concentration of talent over there so this is really awesome.  Thank you CDAC and all the fabulous, amazing artists and fellow crafters who make up this wonderful digi community!!  <3 Lisa
