Oh My! Minnie Mouse Birthday Party

Happy Wednesday Everyone!  I am so behind in my posting and I thought I'd squeeze this in before the weekend.  I mentioned a few posts back that I was working on invitations and favors (didn't get to the banner!) for a Minnie Mouse-themed little girl's 2nd birthday party and here they are!  I didn't have a lot of time so, using my Cricut and a couple of cartridges - Tags, Bags & More, and Disney's Mickey and Friends - I whipped up these little boxes with Minnie faces.  I made them to match the invitation by using the same paper and my favorite little touches - flocked noses and the pretty pink polka-dotted ribbon!  Hope the rest of your week is great!  <3 Lisa

A Day For Daisies New Releases Today!

I've got a short post because I'm burning the midnight oil and I've got to get up for work (ugh!) but I wanted to post my project for this week's A Day For Daisies new image release.  I found this great cotton twill paper (at A.C. Moore) that was made for inkjet printers.  This meant, I could print this darling digital image, "little morning bird," onto this canvas-like paper and embroider it!  I used mostly split stitches and a few french knots - nothing too complicated - :)  But this was really fun to work on!  This little morning bird is just one of the wonderful images  released today at A Day For Daisies!!  Be sure to check out the other wonderful creations from our talented DT (addresses ---> on the side of my blog).  Happy Friday!

Doodle Pantry New Releases!

Hello All!  Well, at least Monday is behind us and Tuesday brings some wonderful new releases from Doodle Pantry!   Now usually new releases from Doodle Pantry are on the 5th and 20th of the month but Laurie and her family came down with a nasty flu bug so the release was slightly delayed.  I'm happy to report that Laurie and her family are feeling much better :)

So here is my card using "Jelly Bean Ants." I colored the image with copics, cut it out, and then dipped them in UTEE. This digital stamp comes with two matching dps and I used the jelly bean print dp to frame the image. Laurie's digis come with sentiments also and I popped one of them up with foam and accented it with a little scrap of yellow grosgrain ribbon.

A Day For Daisies New Releases and a New Challenge!

Hello Friends!  It's new release day at A Day For Daisies *and* a new challenge begins too!  Here are the details:

Challenge # 14
Date: March 18th-March 31st.
Theme: " Go Green"
We want to see you go green.  Show us your creation using as much green as you can stand! There are many ways to go green so get creative!

                       ***
I used one of Tammy's new release images for today called, "Sleeping Peacock Babies."  These little babies looked like angels to me so I edged the image with white feathers to give it a sort of wispy feel.  I  added some Basic Grey pp (because it looked so much like peacock feathers) and also BG brads.  The DP in the background is from American Crafts.  It has a pearlized fern pattern that I thought was just beautiful.

Here are the other new releases:

I hope you will try the challenge.  Oh! and the A Day For Daisies website has had a complete makeover to include an exclusive member's club! The club is for those who like to stay stocked up on A Day For Daisies' newest images…and can’t resist a steal!   In addition to receiving the “CLUB KIT” of the month, you will be granted access to the CLUB STORE pack jammed with Freebies and deals!  There is a new coupon there every week, as well as a fantastic FREEBIES section found no where else.  ADFD will even remember your birthday…what's better than that?!

So, I will be working on party favors and a banner this weekend for a Minnie Mouse 2nd birthday party and I am hoping to be able to post those things (including the invitations!) on Sunday!  Hopefully I'll get them done!

Have a wonderful weekend! <3 Lisa

A Day For Daisies New Releases - MERBABIES!!!

This week's new releases at A Day For Daisies include tiny merbabies - OMGosh these are the most adorable little things!  I wanted to showcase the mermaid baby but there were also these darling little patterned fish so I decided to create a handle to turn over the main image so I could showcase both images :)  Here are the other new releases!
Such an amazing release!  Of course, all those little merbabies are MINE :)  If you are interested to know how I created the "handle" please let me know.  I will be happy to post how I did it. :)  Happy Weekend Everybody! <3 Lisa

Doodle Pantry New Releases!

Good Morning All!  It's Saturday *and* it happens to be the 5th of the month so that means new images from Doodle Pantry!  To create my 3-D card, I used Doodle Pantry image, "caterpillar swing."  This darling little guy is flocked with Doodlebug flock (I mixed yellow, green and purple!).  I cut a "window" in an A7 Bazzill card with a square SB Nestie and placed a rubber-stamped background (Hero Arts "vertical clouds") to show through the "window."  Then, I suspended the swing from the window frame and placed a couple of pop dots behind the image to keep it popped up.  I layered several punched lines of grass (MS border punch) and embellished with paper flowers (their centers are adhesive gems also from MS).  I just love this image - he just looks so content and happy! :)

Please come see the other new releases - they all are just wonderful!

New Images and a New Challenge at A Day For Daisies!

Hello friends and Happy Friday!  There are darling new images available at A Day For Daisies *and* a new challenge.  The theme is "girly girl" and I chose Tammy's image, "make believe" --this week's $2 special!! - to create my card.  I just love these two little princesses dressing up their little brother.  I'm pretty sure the one sister is telling her brother, "don't worry, wizard's wear the same kind of hat."  but that little boy isn't buying it, is he!?  So cute :)  Of course I *had* to use as much pink as possible!  But at least I made his outfit purple like a wizard *giggle*  The dp is by Creative Imaginations (it's called "some day).  I do hope you will get your "girly" on and come play with us!!
