A Day For Daisies...and the downside is unless Congress agrees on a budget, and quick!...by midnight tonight...I will be furloughed - UGH!
So, focusing on the positive, A Day For Daisies has fabulous new releases today and they are GORGEOUS! I used (from left to right) Pansy Perfume Bottle, Lily Perfume Bottle, Clover Perfume Bottle, and Rose Perfume Bottle. I printed the images twice - once on transparencies and again on assorted colored vellum (*except for the Pansy Bottle - that one I painted with acrylic paint because I didn't have purple vellum). I cut out pieces of the image from the vellum that I wanted colored and paper pieced them to the transparencies with Glossy Accents. Once the vellum pieces were adhered to the transparencies, I covered the whole image with Glossy Accents. When that layer dried, I cut out the images and then covered them with a final layer of Glossy Accents.
My daughter, Jenna, is passionate about perfumes - the scents, the bottles -all shapes, all sizes, floral scents, musky scents - she has a perfume for every occasion! The minute I saw these images, I thought of her and wanted to make something for her using them. These little beauties are going to be framed in individual shadow boxes and hung on the wall above her collection!
