*This is the second post for today so if you are looking for info about the new challenge at A Day For Daisies, please scroll down.*
The new releases from A Day For Daisies this week are all ballerinas and they are gorgeous! I used "jewelry box ballerina" for my card. I couldn't get Frank Mills' Music Box Dancer (listen here) out of my head so that's what I decided to call her.
I colored the image with copics. The ballet slippers got a layer of Liquid Pearls in petal pink. To give her tutu dimension, I layered vellum beneath. I used Bazzill cardstock in Tutu Pink to create 5" x 7" card but cut an additional 3" off the card front to add the pleated vellum skirting. Of course I couldn't imagine making a ballerina card without pink ribbon ;) so I finished it off with two big satin bows.
Beautiful, all the way around! Love the big pink bows. (And I also love Frank Mills' "Music Box Dancer".)
ReplyDeleteLISA!! When I saw this card this morning... Oh... You did this!! Absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous and does remind me exactly of one of those sweet little ballerina's from a jewelry box I had as a child! What a love job you did on this!
I always love your work, it's beautiful! :)

Lis
