Witch Way Is the Candy?

Hello All!  When I first saw this sweet image, it had already been discontinued.  Even though I figured it was a long shot, I cannot tell you how many I checked eBay to see if anyone had listed her .  Of course, no such luck :(  But then, on my day off from work --which is a glorious occasion in itself LOL!--and as I was catching up on my blog reading list, I saw a post that My Favorite Things was going to re-release her!!!! (Witch Way is the Candy?)  I know had to be the first person to place my order - LOL!

I absolutely *love* her and the rest of the stamp set is pretty adorable too.   Here are the products and details for the card:
I used W7, W5, and W3 for the hat, cape, and boots and YR18, YR16, and YR12 for the dress.  Her hair and cat are colored with
C9, C7, and C5
Banner for the sentiment - Mama Elephant Tags A Lot  and that single sparkling clear little sequin is from Pretty Pink Posh
Little spider - Mama Elephant Bootastic.  He was stamped on black cardstock with Versamark ink and embossed with Ranger orange embossing powder
Buffalo Check printed paper - Authentique Bewitched
Candy Corn printed paper - American Crafts Bootiful Nights
Card Frame - Mama Elephant Madison Avenue
Card - Paper Trey Ink Cardstock

Yay! for the upcoming long weekend!  I'm planning to be in the craft room.  Whatever your plans, I hope you have a wonderful time :)

Lawn Fawn Birthday Challenge!

Hello All!

It's been awhile since I played along with any card challenges but I'm so excited for this:

I *love* Lawn Fawn and now they are hosting challenges - woo hoo!!

Their first challenge is to celebrate their 7th year and you are to create a birthday themed project featuring a Lawn Fawn product.  The prize is a $25 Lawn Fawn gift certificate and entries are due by April 2nd.  I'm cutting it closer than I would have liked but I made it!
Here is my card:

I used Big Scripty Words stamps and matching dies along with Baked with Love stamps and matching dies to create this scene of enchanted little birds working together to bake up some birthday cupcakes for someone special.

Each image is colored with copics.  Dimensional foam adhesive helped with the 3D effect :)

I'm linking up!

Is it Easter yeti?

Hello All!

Isn't this the cutest un-abominable snowman you've ever seen!!  He's from the BB Beast Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things.  I colored him with copics and the egg he's holding is from the Mama Elephant Just Hatched stamp set (another favorite!).  The card was cut using a Sizzix flip card die.  The card stock is lemon tart from Papertrey Ink and the pattern paper from DCWV.

This is just a funny little card I made for my sister who is supposed to visit for Easter.  I'm ready for her to be here and thought this was a funny way to tell her!  I figured she would get a kick out of this furry little guy holding an Easter egg.  Once you flip open the card, you find the egg has hatched!

and the broken egg has fallen to the ground:

I'm looking so forward to the weekend!  I have been working an alternate work schedule which means I put in extra hours each week but then I get to have a day off every two weeks and today is my day off - woo hoo!  I'm already dreaming about what stamps I'm going to be coloring up!

Have a great weekend!

Even A Unicorn

Hello All,

I just wanted to share a card I made using the adorable stamp set, Believe in Your Dreams, from Love Cynthia stamps.

I stamped and embossed the image on Bristol watercolor cardstock and used Zig Clean Color watercolor markers and a water brush to color the image.  There's also Wink of Stella clear glitter on the body of the unicorn.  The background is sponged with distress inks.

The sentiment is embossed on vellum.  I took a close-up of the image:

It's a little dark but the image is just so precious I wanted to show the detail!

Have a great week!

Rock-A-Bye Baby

I forgot that Fridays of vacation weeks are  kinda of a bummer ;)  Oh well, if vacations lasted then they would not be sooooo enjoyable!

I have been able to steal away to the craft room to make some inspiration for the new A Day For Daisies challenge (begins today!)  The challenge is to add doodling to your card (I added pink hearts to mine).  My image, "Rock a by" comes from Tammy's wonderful new releases this week, "It's a Child's World."  Tammy's inspiration for these beautiful drawings comes from one of her favorite illustrators, Margaret Evans Price.  Ms. Price was the co-founder of Fisher-Price Toy as well as an illustrator of beloved children books.
See Tammy's complete release HERE.
Happy Crafting! <3 Lisa
